Beside the founding partner, the various members of the Firm, comprehending other partners and senior associates, are fundamentally characterized by three distinctive features that strongly contribute to the innovative and very particular profile of the Firm.

In most cases, (i) they have a strong academic track-record – which is a defining element of the profile of the Firm - comprehending a long and intense teaching experience at Lisbon Law University (FDL) and its autonomous University Institutes or high level academic qualifications, including PhD, at top academic institutions largely oriented to the areas of European integration studies.

Some of them also (ii) combine that academic and teaching experience and track-record with top level institutional assignments either in Portugal and at the level of EU institutions, e.g., as past members of the cabinet of the Minister of Finance of Portugal or members of the legal department of the ECB, in Frankfurt, or have held key positions in the board of various public state-owned companies or public institutes in Portugal, and at the highest levels in the directorships of municipalities and other local bodies in Portugal. This enables them, on the one hand, with a solid experience in terms of public finance law and the management of state-owned assets, and, on the other hand, with a diversified and intensive experience in legal and economic issues pertaining to real estate and real estate projects.

Finally, other members of the Firm (iii) have held extensive and demanding responsibilities at the human resources departments of big multinational groups which gave them the know-how to deal with complex legal issues of employment law, especially from the perspective of big company restructuring with all its legal implications and multi-level planning in terms of employment law and social security law, in combination with other areas of corporate law and management, e.g. tax law, corporate law in general and insolvency law and procedures.
