2018, November Professor Luís Silva Morais has been designated President of the Supervisory Council of the Portuguese Authority of Insurance and Pension Funds (ASF)

Professor Luís Silva Morais, founding partner of LSM Advogados has been designated President of the Supervisory Council of the Portuguese Authority of Insurance and Pension Funds (ASF) – a non-executive position which he will perform without prejudice of his other activities as attorney at law and independent legal consultant, including in general matters pertaining to the financial sector and whenever no specific issues concerning the insurance sector might be at stake. These are functions somehow arising from the scientific activities he has been carrying out in the field of financial supervision and also in connection with his past experience and track record at the said Supervisory Authority (ASF), between 1998 and 2001, then of an executive nature, as member of the board of directors of ‘Instituto de Seguros de Portugal’ (the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Pension Funds which preceded the current ASF).
