Alliance/Cooperation Agreement with the Firm Lallemand & Legros – Brussels

Beside its network of International Individual Consultants in Brazil/São Paulo, Angola/Luanda, Mozambique/Maputo, Guinea (Western Africa) and China/Macau, and other strong ties and regular connections with Anglo-Saxon Law firms (mentioned in the section International Affiliations) the Firm has entered into a (non-exclusive) Cooperation Agreement with the Brussels-based Firm Lallemand & Legros (www.lallemand-legros.be) on the basis of which, both Firms refer reciprocally the treatment of files concerning their respective jurisdictions (or jurisdictions where they are represented/present), namely, in the case of Lallemand & Legros, the Belgian and French jurisdictions and, in the case of LSM Law Firm, the Portuguese jurisdictions and the jurisdictions of Brazil, Angola, Mozambique and China/Macau.  
The files at stake may cover the key areas of intervention of the two Law Firms as regards interests of clients in the jurisdictions at stake, including, inter alia, EU law in general, corporate law, economic and competition law and regulation, tax law, with particular emphasis in the tax treatment for investments of any kind or acquisition of real estate in the aforementioned jurisdictions by non-resident entities. 
In parallel, this Alliance also reinforces the capacity of intervention of LSM Law Firm in cooperation with Lallemand & Legros in files of EU law and corresponding topics that require a permanent presence in Brussels and an effective ability to liaise with EU Institutions, e.g. in Brussels and in Luxembourg.
