Presentation at the Bank of Portugal, with intervention by the Governor of the BoP, and publication of the Study “Models of Financial Supervision in Portugal and in the Context of the EU”, authored by Professor Luís Silva Morais and commissioned by the BoP. The Study “Models of Financial Supervision in Portugal and in the Context of the EU” draws a comprehensive, comparative analysis of different institutional models of organization of financial supervision and comprehends a critical analysis on prospective reforms of the Portuguese model of financial supervision – It corresponds to an independent Study prepared by Professor Luís Silva Morais commissioned by the Bank of Portugal, of which the respective Executive Summary corresponds to Chapter 6 of the White Book on Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Sector, arising as an independent document of an initiative of the Governor of the BoP which was presented at the same date at the BoP.
